(Translated from Dutch)
“Sirius is a planet Earth can be jealous of: 99% of the planet is a fucking filthy Goodie. Everything is recyclable, malleable, nutritious, peaceful and inexhaustible, except for the dream of Giek (the Halfgoodie). When man landed on the planet, an extremely sexual act took place in the Cover-up. This resulted in the Halfgoodie Giek, which has inexplicable desires. She becomes at odds with the good old Sirian way of life by yearning for an unknown (and perilous) human dream.
As soon as Giek tastes the principle of a dream, she comes into conflict with herself, the Sirians and a dusty mythology. They say that if you dream too long, your eyes will close and you will slowly merge into the planet. If Giek wants to dream so bad, then she should go to Earth. Nobody knows what that will cost or could yield her, but the answer lies deeper in the dream.
In a stroboscopic-surrealistic trip through inner wishes, prejudices, high betrayal, unformed hope and physical play, Stephanie takes you into a theatrical world that you have never seen before. Together with the expressionist playwright Tommy Ventevogel, director Thijs van Elten and final director Leon van der Zanden, Stephanie Smit presents a musical and visual piece that turns your stomach twice and keeps your head spinning like an owl in a GHB drug addiction period.
“… and God saw that it was Goodie””

During theaterschool in 2013 she worked on a monologue under the name GIEK. It was mostly a lament about waking up in this reality after getting sober struggling with mental health.
“A cabaresque monologue about human & technologic evolution and its influence on our culture. It’s cynical, sometimes sarcastic but also philosophical towards the current creative uprising of today’s artists, conspiracy theories and aliens.”
In 2014 and 2016 Giek did some acting work at The Amsterdam Dungeon alongside some short movies and later in 2019 and 2020 got to play different parts including one of leading parts as gang leader inmate at Prison Escape.
