In December 2018, Giek was selected to collaborate with the Jazzorchestra of the Concertgebouw Amsterdam on a project initiated by Company New Heroes. Giek composed a 15 minute long experimental music piece and performed together with the orchestra. A documentary was subsequently released. Some of the music from the project was transformed into the EP titled ‘Unified Self,’ which was released on Soulfeeder.
The EP ‘Unified Self‘ explores themes such as duality, divinity, and the journey towards self-realization and harmony with the universe. It is an experimental electronic EP, blending ambient and contemporary club music elements.
