Giek, in collaboration with Chabela Maturana Parraguez and Enrique Arce Gutierrez, facilitated the LEF Global Lab conversations in 2020 for Rijkswaterstaat. The theme of the two-hour online conference was ‘Inner Climate’, where Giek_1 presented video work and two live performances.

Right in the middle of the shift from the nightlife lifestyle to theater school she started performing at clubs. She danced with the collective ‘Sabotage’ and later formed her own shows under the name ‘GIEK’. The GIEK performances turned into her first recording experimental music tracks with the label ‘Garden of Eyes’
