Giek, in collaboration with Chabela Maturana Parraguez and Enrique Arce Gutierrez, facilitated the LEF Global Lab conversations in 2020 for Rijkswaterstaat. The theme of the two-hour online conference was ‘Inner Climate’, where Giek_1 presented video work and two live performances.

Jazz orchestra Amsterdam
In December 2018, I was selected to collaborate with the Jazzorchestra of the Concert Hall Amsterdam on a project. We performed together, and a documentary was subsequently released. Some of the music from the project was transformed into the EP titled ‘Unified Self,’ which was released on Soulfeeder.

During theater school, Giek teamed up with Marleen van Zon to form a daring comedy duo that challenged taboos. Their songs revolved around themes like “love, men and other disgusting things”. They reached the finals of Holland’s Got Talent 2014, but their performance videos were deemed too provocative for viewing in Germany.
